Cohort’s subsidiary SEA has been awarded a contract that covers the production of SEA’s lightweight torpedo launch systems (TLS) for the Royal Canadian Navy.
SEA’s TLS is a rapid-reaction system capable of firing a variety of NATO standard lightweight torpedoes. This contract will be delivered by SEA’s wholly-owned Canadian subsidiary, SEA Canada, supported by a team at SEA in the UK.
“This contract is another significant win for SEA and will deliver an essential capability for the Royal Canadian Navy. It builds on SEA’s long-standing reputation and successful delivery of the TLS system to customers around the world. Together with other recent contract wins across the Group, this further underpins our order book and enhances the visibility of future revenues,” Andy Thomis, Cohort Chief Executive, said.
According to the company, the value of the contract is £15.1 million ($19 million).
Work will commence immediately and is expected to complete in 2030.
