CORONATION Street bosses have signed up a Peaky Blinders and Harry Potter star for a dark new storyline.
Actor Ian Peck, who played gang accomplice Curly in the BBC‘s hit Brummie drama, has been cast as part of evil murderer Harvey Gaskell’s ongoing plot.

Harvey (Will Mellor) enlists John to help with his plan to try and get out of jail.
Terminally ill John agrees to confess to the murder of former Street regular Natasha Blakeman, which was committed by Harvey, as he owes him a favour.
Upcoming scenes set to air next month will see Harvey and Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson) come up with the wicked plan in a bid to free the jailed villain. It’s thought that Ian will guest star in a couple of episodes.
Ian is the latest familiar face to sign up for a stint on the cobbles. In recent months, The Royal and EastEnders actress Amy Robbins, Phoenix Nights star Justin Moorhouse and Ab Fab star Helen Lederer have all signed up for guest roles on the ITV soap.
As well as appearing in all six series of Peaky Blinders as one of the Shelby clan’s right hand men, Ian has also had guest stints in His Dark Materials, BBC series Undercover and ITV’s Midsomer Murders.
Last year, The Sun revealed how Ian had left fans gobsmacked after he showed off a new look during the final series of Peaky Blinders.
At one point, fans were left questioning whether Ian’s character had been replaced due to his new slender frame and bald look.
