She wrote: “If anyone else has unwanted space above the stairs, my advice is, utilise it.
“This has saved me hundreds of pounds this winter and I haven’t even touched my tumble dryer.
“My design, but my husband made it. It still needs painting when we get a nice day, and it can be detached easily.
“It’s been bespoke made to my height 5ft 1, as I do most of the washing.
“I can fit around six loads of normal washing on this if I use coat hangers on either sides of the wood for t-shirts and hoodies and then just the lines for trousers and shorts.
“Six adults in my house so, as you can imagine the amount of washing is crazy.
“Also, no more clothes airers around the house.”
People hailed the invention and flooded the comment section with praise for the nifty hack.
One wrote: “What a great idea!”
“This is genius! Start selling them!!! You could do very well! I don’t have space but would buy one!”, said another impressed group member.
“Brilliant idea, heat rises so fab place,” agreed someone else.
A fourth wrote: “My daughter does this, very successful.”
“Love it! I’d rather have something like this than airers about! All in one place and house smelling lovely! Nothing better than the smell of clean washing… like she said it’s easily removable! So you wouldn’t have clothes hanging all over every day!”

A money-saver revealed a genius “life hack” to help dry your clothes faster – and save £100s.
Drying a full load of wet clothes straight out of the machine can be a tough task without the sunshine and a washing line.
But don’t panic, there’s another nifty trick to help – and you’ve probably already got what you need.
In a video posted to TikTok by @energysavinghacks, one woman shared her golden piece of advice.
“This is the life hack you need to dry your washing in winter without using any extra energy,” she said.
“Grab your clothes airer, just a normal one, not a fancy heated one.
“And put it next to a radiator, and chuck a bed sheet over it.
“Tuck it in like a tent.
“So, whenever you have your heating on it’s going to dry your clothes for no extra cost.”
The bed sheet will create a warm pocket of air surrounding the clothes which helps dry them faster.
Some clever money-savers have even taken the hack a step further and added a dehumidifier under the sheet too.
This will absorb any extra moisture captured in the air pocket.
Plus, another woman has revealed her rainy day hack which will dry your clothes within seconds without a tumble dryer.
Posting under the username ‘Sheets Laundry Club’ on TikTok, she showed viewers exactly how to achieve this feat.
Step one is simply to place your wet item on a clean dry towel.
She adds that you should then “roll up your towel with your wet clothes inside.”
The laundry whizz then says: “Twist the towel to wring moisture out of your clothing.
“Press down firmly on the towel roll.
“Unroll the towel and your item will be mostly dry.”
And the original poster also said it is “perfect if you are on a vacation” when needing to dry your swimsuit.
