A DERMATOLOGIST has shared the product she swears by to tackle fine lines around her eyes.
The skincare expert also revealed an affordable dupe to her go-to beauty find.
In her video, Dr. Shereene Idriss (@shereeneidriss) detailed the items she uses in her anti-aging efforts.
“In our 40s, it becomes obvious that our eyes become extremely reactive to hormonal changes, to your period, to lack of sleep, to alcohol,” she explained.
The YouTuber clarified that alcohol and sugar are fine in moderation but can lead to visible puffiness in the eyes and face.
“If you are somebody who is very reactive to all of the above your eyes probably wake up like two puffer fish,” the doctor explained.
Dr. Idriss revealed the de-puffer serum she uses to soothe her eyes.
“This is my staple every morning, I keep this baby next to my bed,” she told her viewers.
The health professional recommended her own de-puffer roll-on serum.
“Before I even open my eyes, I roll it around my eyes and massage the gel in,” Dr. Idriss said.
“Then I go to the bathroom, then I brush my teeth, then I jump in the shower, and by the time I come out, I’m open.”
She joked that “the eyes are the gateway to the soul” and that her soul is puffy.
She recommended retinol for anyone with fine lines, which she said people “will start having in your 40s because our collagen starts to decline much faster.”
