A WOMAN has revealed that she has found an ‘amazing’ product that smoothes fine lines and tightens skin.
Becky, a content creator and MUA, who is in her forties, explained that the £5.10 buy, which she nabbed from John Lewis, will leave your skin glowing.
The beauty whizz explained that she often gets compliments about her skin – and as a result, swears that the AHA 30% + BHA 2% peeling solution from The Ordinary.
Showing off her skincare buy on social media, the woman, who used to work for Charlotte Tilbury, said: “The [£5.10] product that is literally gonna make you feel like you’ve been to a salon and had a skin peel.
“It is The Ordinary’s AHA BHA peeling solution.
“This little gem in a bottle is literally [£5.10].
“So I used it the other day and I left it on for about five minutes, because it will sting your face as it is a peel.
“So it’s gonna exfoliate, it’s gonna get rid of pores. It’s gonna get rid of fine lines – well, it’s not gonna get rid of them, but it’s gonna make them look better and reduce the sign of wrinkles.
“And so I was at work the other day and everyone was like, ‘oh my God, Becky, your skin is glowing.’ This is the secret.
“My skin is gonna glow. So I’m gonna take this all off and then come back and show you.”
Becky, who had applied the peel to her face, then washed her face, showing off her glowing skin.
She continued: “I’ve literally just put some hyaluronic acid on and some moisturiser and my skin is literally popping.
“You need this in your life.”
The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @makeupbyrebeccalouise, has clearly impressed many, as it has quickly amassed 10,900 views.
Social media users were stunned by the product and were eager to share their thoughts in the comments.
One person said: “Love that.”
Another added: “Love this I use it weekly.”
A third commented: “It’s amazing.”
At the same time, one beauty fan asked: “How do you take it off? I have some but I have not used it yet.”
In response, Becky wrote: “Just with warm water and a clean flannel.”
Meanwhile, someone else asked: “Omg glowinggg. Is it good for sensitive skin Becky or would you say no?”
To this, Becky confirmed: “An absolute no for sensitive skin hun as it’s an acid.”
Whilst another user claimed: “It’s very strong and I don’t think anyone who hasn’t got a day and evening routine should use it. Please be careful.”
Looking at the online reviews of the advanced-level exfoliating peel, which targets textural irregularities, dullness and uneven skin tone, one woman who tried out the water-based serum explained: “I’m 44, I have tretinoin, been using it for three months. Then I took a break.
“I used this mask once and my skin looked younger. It lessened my hyperpigmentation, smoothed my fine lines and I swear tightened my skin.
“I honestly think this works better than tretinoin. Maybe some people’s skin responds better to AHA or Vitamin C. Either way this works amazingly and I’m definitely buying another bottle.”
Meanwhile, a 68-year-old lady, who has combination skin, claimed: “This 30% glycolic solution is amazing. I have combination skin, oily nose and chin and dryer on the cheeks.
“I was using an apricot scrub, but it apparently was just touching the surface. I had a persistent, recurring blackhead on my chin. After three treatments about 5 days apart I have sloughed off the dead skin.
“The blackhead pore has shrunk and my skin glows. I wear a lighter coat of foundation.
“When you’re old like me, too much makeup is ageing. Can’t wait to try more products from The Ordinary. Reasonably priced and based on science.”
Whilst someone else, who has an uneven skin tone, expressed: “I bought this product a month ago. I use it with a salicylic acid cleanser in the morning by itself and at night with this peeling solution.
“I only use it once a week on Saturday night for 10 minutes only. I use a moisturiser and sunscreen right after.
“My skin has been glowing and shiny. I noticed my acne scars and blemishes are less visible. My skin seems lighter and brighter than before.”
However, if you wish to use this AHA 30% + BHA 2% peeling solution, you should be aware that it is only suitable for experienced users of acid exfoliation.
