A 44-year-old Cheektowaga man was allegedly caught cheating at a craps table.
(WJET/WFXP/YourErie.com) -- A Western New York man was arrested in Erie after Pennsylvania State Police alleged he placed illegal wagers on a table game at Presque Isle Downs and Casino over the course of a week and collected over $7,800 in false winnings.
According to Pennsylvania State Police Bureau of Gaming Presque Isle, troopers were called out to Presque Isle Downs and Casino on Monday, Jan. 22 after a 44-year-old Cheektowaga man was allegedly caught cheating at a craps table.
Authorities conducted an audit into the man and found he had placed numerous illegitimate bets over the course of seven days and had accumulated $7,860 in false winnings.
No details were given on how the man was allegedly cheating.
State police are now charging him with theft and crime by deception and he was lodged in the Erie County Jail.
