AYLEN Park’s mum has built a loyal fanbase since sharing her tips to looking 20 years younger.
The 51-year-old has even been mistaken for 22-year-old Aylen’s sister, with people on social media saying “they still can’t tell which one is the mum”.
In a recent video, the pair revealed their ultimate FREE tips for “maximising your sheet masks”.
Sheet masks are face-shaped, thin pieces of cloth that are soaked in serum and designed to sit on the face for 15 to 20 minutes.
Their purpose is to lock the hydrating and skin-boosting ingredients between the cloth and the skin for maximum impact.
Aylen’s mum, who is originally from Korea, uses a sheet mask “almost every single day”.
Her years of usage mean she knows how to maximise their benefits, with Aylen divulging five of her tips in a recent Instagram video.
The first is to apply a toner before putting the sheet mask on to prep the skin and ensure it “fully absorbs the serum”.
Her second tip is to squeeze all of the excess serum out of the mask’s foil packet to rub on your arms and legs for a full-body hydration boost.
“We don’t waste anything in this house,” Aylen’s mum said.
Her third tip is to apply a silicone sheet mask cover to the face so that the thin cloth doesn’t slip out of place.
It also prolongs how long the mask stays moist for, thus meaning you get even more of a hydration boost.
For her fourth tip, Aylen’s mum urged people to remove their mask when it’s 70% dry.
Keeping it on until its bone dry will have the opposite effect, as the cloth will start drawing moisture from your face and drying your skin out.
Her fifth and final tip was to rub the sheet mask over your arms and legs before you bin it.
