The next round of rain will arrive this evening, preceded by fog and drizzle, as a wave of low pressure moves northeast. Temperatures will be very mild, near 55 degrees.
Rain will taper off to drizzle tonight, followed by more widespread fog that will reduce visibilities below a half-mile.
Cloudy skies persist on Friday, after a foggy start, as high pressure settles in over the Great Lakes, but the rain will halt for about 36 hours. Temperatures will remain nearly steady around 50 degrees.
Another low-pressure system moves into the Ohio Valley from the southwest on Saturday, with rain developing toward evening and continuing into Sunday. Colder air will be drawn in behind the storm, causing rain to mix with or change to wet snow early Sunday north and west.
Next week will be dry and seasonable, with mostly cloudy skies and a few breaks of sunshine. Highs will start off in the upper 30s Monday and Tuesday, rising to the mid-40s on Wednesday.
