Calderwood Primary School are Queen’s Park’s latest Tickets for Schools Partner

Queen’s Park player Liam McLeish made the short trip to Buchanan Drive this week to hand over the Match Tickets, as well as Black and White scarves and club T-shirts, before taking part in a Question-and-Answer Session with the children.

Liam said: “The questions were tough and covered a range of subjects however I found it a great experience. Talking to the children about life as a footballer, and handling issues such as my recent injury, was good and I hope they took a lot from it.

“I am looking forward to seeing, and hearing them, against Ayr and my return visit to the school to discuss details of the game.”

Queen’s Park’s Head of Commercial Kieran Koszary said: “I would like to thank Calderwood Primary for their interest in attending our game and I would also like to thank our partners MCDADES COACHES for their support in getting everyone in the school party to the game and back again as part of our Tickets for Schools Programme.

“Callum Davidson has just recently joined the club as Head Coach and I would also like to thank him for continuing the excellent backing we have had from the players for The Tickets for School Programme.”

Queen’s Park Business Partners PTS Clean Ltd, who run their family-owned ‘Cleaning Machine People’ business close to Calderwood have agreed to provide half-time vouchers to all the schoolchildren from Calderwood to get a hot drink and snack at Hampden at half-time with Kieran adding: “It is great to see a local business helping a local school whilst they are both watching their local football team.”
