‘Use suncream because you look 50!’ people beg as woman shows ‘real face’ but it’s her age that leaves people shocked
A WOMAN has left cruel social media users baffled after showing off her ”raw face”, as they refuse to believe her true age.
Social media, edited snaps on the magazine covers and movies have left us all feeling like our skin should be smooth and wrinkle-free – which is why one woman, Danica, decided to upload a clip to remind that’s not the reality.
Taking to Instagram, the blonde stunner, from New Zealand, posted a video of her face and skin close-up, proudly showing off every wrinkle, sun spot and fine line she had.
”Just in case the movies and the social media has made you feel like your forehead isn’t meant to move or your eyes aren’t meant to crease or your laugh lines aren’t meant to run deep,” she reminded in the now-viral video.
”Your natural face is normal and it’s actually OKAY TO AGE,” Danica told the followers on her platform.
According to the ”boho” lifestyle fanatic, who lives in a barn with her boyfriend, she’s never forked out for any treatments and enhancements, whether that’s lip fillers, Botox or any other popular beauty procedures.
”Just a reminder of what the raw face of a 31-year-old woman who hasn’t had any work done looks like.”
But although Danica looked incredible and fabulous, social media users were all saying the same thing – as they refused to believe she was in her early 30s.
The video soon racked up over a whopping 14million views, as thousands raced to comments to share their initial guesses.
One cruel troll reckoned: ”Disagree. You look in your 50s.”
Another advised Danica to invest in a skincare essential, writing: ”Please use sunscreen.”
Someone else agreed, adding: ”I’m 35. This is giving me anxiety. Looks like girl’s skin is sun damaged.”
A fellow professional in the industry urged: ”As an esthetician…. Please wear spf.
”It’s definitely not cool to glorify sun damage and sun spots.
”Natural is great and nobody “needs” Botox and fillers but at least have a good skincare to prevent this damage.”
Luckily for Danica, it wasn’t all negative, as there were also plenty of those running to support her and hit back at the meanies.
”I love this. We should embrace being natural over having work done. Love yourself NATURALLY,” one said.
A second Instagram user chimed in with their observations of the current age.
”You can’t win! It’s so toxic on social media. If you do anything to your face they criticize, if your natural they criticize.
”There are so many miserable unhappy people in these comments. That’s what is ugly!”
Someone else agreed, reminding others to be kinder to one another: ”And comments like these are exactly why people risk their lives and go under the knife.
”People can be so cruel!”
