‘My hair’s so shiny’ beauty fans say as The Range flogs posh £24 shampoo for £5 and it’s still full-price in John Lewis
GLOBALLY recognised hairdresser Philip Kingsley coined the phrase “bad hair day” and then dedicated his life to beating frizz with luxurious products.
But what if we told you that you can pick up shampoos and conditioners from his namesake brand in The Range for just £5?
Amazingly, the Philip Kingsley No Scent No Colour shampoos and conditioners are still £24 on the John Lewis website.
Shopper Chloe Etherington unearthed the products in her local The Range store for just £5.20 a bottle.
She took to Facebook to tell others: “Don’t walk, run to The Range!”
The No Scent No Colour range is designed for “sensitive scalps” and great for those who suffer with psoriasis or eczema.
They have rave reviews, with one shopper saying “everyone compliments how shiny” her hair looks since buying them.
“The fragrance free, hypo-allergenic formula sweeps away dirt and impurities to leave hair looking shiny and smooth,” a blurb on the products reads.
“Its dose of Glycerides delivers moisture to the source, whilst improving manageability.
“Originally inspired by Philip’s wife’s battle with breast cancer, No Scent No Colour was designed to be gentle enough for her when she was undergoing chemotherapy.”
The conditioner contains “lots of amazing ingredients that are soft and gentle on your hair”, according to Philip Kingsley bosses.
“Hydrolyzed Elastin adds strength, body and elasticity, improves your hair’s tensile strength and moisture retention, and reduces breakage,” they added.
“While Amino Silicone, de-tangles and controls frizz and flyaway, leaving your hair smooth, shiny and frizz-free, without weight or irritation.
“Perfect for people with sensitive, delicate or easily irritated skin and scalps. It is also suitable for Brazilian Keratin treated hair.”
Chloe picked up two bottles of each on her recent shopping trip, even sharing a photo of the receipt to prove the beauty steal.
Haircare mogul Philip started out as a hairdressing assistant in his uncle’s salon when he was 16.
He soon qualified as a trichologist, before launching his first retail range in 1982.
Philip died in 2016 after a 65-year career but his products still line the shelves of LookFantastic, Cult Beauty and Sephora.
