A PLUS-SIZE fashion fan has tried on a Skims look-alike and was shocked by the results.
She was surprised by how seamlessly the extra-large shirt from Amazon snatched her waist and concealed her belly button.
Karen (@callherkarenbby) describes herself as “your go-to plus size, fashion-loving, thick gym girl,” according to her TikTok bio.
She shared a quick haul of a plain white long-sleeve shirt in a TikTok video and gave her honest opinion about the Amazon item.
“I’ve never tried Skims and heard this is a dupe,” she said as the video began.
Because she doesn’t own any clothes from Skims, she gave an unfiltered review about the Pumiey Women’s Long Sleeve Crew Neck Slim Fit Tops, $24.99.
She said that she’s usually a size large in tops but ordered it in an extra large.
From first impressions alone, she thought the material was “really nice” and it was good quality.
After trying it on, she stepped away from the camera, so her audience could see how it looked on her curvy figure.
“Honestly, I’m going to get more colors. It fits really, really well. I think it’s pretty snatching,” she said.
Karen also touched her belly button area and added that it does a “good job concealing it.”
Another reason she liked it was because she wore a light blue bra underneath it and the color didn’t show through.
Considering how white “shows everything,” she loved how flattering it was on her.
“For the price point, I’m sold,” she declared.
Karen said that she no longer needs to buy from the Kim Kardashian-owned brand when the price point on the Amazon shirt is more affordable.
