BOTH BBC One and ITV have been rocked by major schedule shake-up’s as a string of huge shows have been bumped from their regular time slots.
The networks have made unusual changes to their Saturday night schedules on February 3rd as a result of other programming.
The Masked Singer will be affected by the changes[/caption] Gladiators will go up against the ITV singing hit[/caption]On the BBC, programme will be aired later than usual owing to the coverage of the rugby.
At 4pm, Gabby Logan will be live with coverage of Wales vs Scotland at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff as the Six Nations tournament gets underway.
It means that the coverage will air for a whopping three hours and 10 minutes and as a result delay the Beeb’s usual big-hitters.
The network’s new flagship show Gladiators will air at 7:10pm for an hour before proceeding a delayed Michael McIntrye’s Big Show at 8:10pm.
Saturday night drama Casualty will then follow an hour later.
The BBC has been forced to axe The Weakest Link and Pointless Celebrities for the evening in order to accommodate the schedule switch-up.
Meanwhile, ITV have also shook-up their schedule seemingly to accommodate an unexpected episode of It’ll Be Alright On The Night in the 9pm slot.
It will see Wheel of Fortune aired in the early teatime slot of 5:25pm followed by The Masked Singer airing 35 minutes earlier than usual at 6:25pm.
Ant & Dec will then present an episode of Limitless Win at 8pm before a David Walliams-narrated episode of the comedy programme airs at 9pm.
ITV’s final major Saturday night programme, Big Zuu‘s 12 Dishes in 12 Hours, remains unchanged and will air at 10pm as usual.
It will see The Masked Singer suffer an overlap with Gladiators in what is likely to create a ratings battle.
Michael and Ant & Dec will also be forced to go head-to-head in a bid to see who comes out on top.
