A SAVVY shopper has revealed the easy way to grab freebies while out shopping – but you can only do it once a year.
Mimi, a teacher based in the UK, took to social media to show off her haul of freebies and it left viewers stunned.
The young woman had gone for a spot of shopping to celebrate her birthday – and it was definitely the right time to go as many shops and restaurants offer free food to help you celebrate.
Mimi first headed to Barburrito where you can bag a free burrito or salad bowl for up to two weeks after your birthday.
All you have to do is install and sign up to the app before your birthday and bring ID with you when claiming your freebie.
The bargain hunter made the most of her birthday shopping spree by heading to the Lindt store next.
Again, if you sign up to the app online you are able to get a free box of Lindt milk chocolate truffles to take home.
“Secured the goods, I love these,” she said ecstatic with the sweet treat she managed to bag for free.
Mimi then headed to the juice bar Boost to pick up a Ginger Tonic juice for free.
She revealed that you also have to sign up to their app but you will also need to have at least one point on their loyalty card already to be able to claim your free juice or smoothie.
Next up, the teaching assistant headed to Chopstix for a free box of noodles on her birthday.
You are able to get a small box with your choice of either rice or noodles and one topping.
Plus, if you don’t want to grab it on the day of your birthday – you have a seven day period to claim your free gift.
Mimi was thrilled with her finds and captioned the post: “Part 2 for the birthday freebies!
“Thank you all for the suggestions from part 1 too! Save this for your
birthday!”
In a previous video, Mimi showed some more of the goodies she managed to grab for no cost while shopping on her birthday.
She managed to get a free muffin from Costa, a donut from Krispy Kreme and even some luxury skincare products from SpaceNK.
The clip has since gone viral on her TikTok account @baelikemae with over 190k views and 11k likes.
People were quick to thank Mimi for sharing what shops to sign up to so they could grab some of the freebies for themselves.
One person wrote: “It’s almost my bday so thanks for this! Do you need the apps for them all? I want a free burrito.”
Another commented: “Damn I’d love the Lindt one but there’s no Lindt shops near me.”
“Wishing I saw this a few hours ago, it’s too late to go now so I’ma have to wait a year,” penned a third.
