A WOMAN has been described as an inspiration after reversing her age by a decade in just two years.
Her transformation has seen her get younger-looking and more beautiful, and it all started with a humble glass of water.
Cali Baby (@calibabyoficial) makes no bones about how good she feels since she shed a whopping 75 pounds.
She’s lost weight and the years have also been slashed and she relishes her new younger-looking and toned self.
Cali has 486,000 followers, where she joyfully shares her journey, hoping to inspire others along the way.
“How I reversed aging by ten years,” she said in her post.
Her before and after versions barely look like the same person.
“You see for yourself, I got younger and I got more beautiful,” she said with delight.
She is on a mission to show that others can achieve what she has.
“I’m going to go through how I did this so that you can start your journey today because you can do it, girl.”
“I was 185 pounds and I’m 5’ 3”, that’s two years ago,” she explained.
“I had started to sing again because I had stopped ten years ago and I was so excited. But I was not excited about my weight.”
Caly has experienced losing weight and gaining it in the past, but this time there was a new determination – and method.
“I knew I was going to have to start incorporating the habits that last because if they didn’t last that meant the results wouldn’t last,” she said.
It was while on vacation she discovered something that was so simple.
“I said I was going to have a glass of water before every meal and that’s what I did and I would actually eat less.”
This simple tip was an enormous one for her. It had a “domino effect.”
She continued: “After that, I started getting so excited. I said I could do this.”
There was another rule she stuck to: tucking into one salad a day.
“No matter what, baby, you are going to have a salad for lunch.
“Those two habits right there had impacted just how I felt.”
Even though she was on vacation with no gym facilities, she still found ways of exercising.
“I was now excited to work out. I just started to do squats and whatever I could, building myself up again to start moving.”
By the time she returned from her travels she was ready.
“I was in the zone. I was very overweight and I was not excited about taking pictures,” she confessed.
“I didn’t focus on the weight I had to lose, I just kept focusing on showing up every day.”
It hasn’t always been easy, but there are no regrets from Caly.
“In these two years, I have had some downs but I’ve had a lot more ups because I keep pushing through,” she noted.
“The key is to be consistent even when you mess up.”
She signed off with a rallying call: “The proof is in the pudding, mamasita.
“Today is the best day to be inspired by what I did because if I can do it so you can too.”
Commenters were bowled over by her experience and motivation.
“Thank you so much. I’m starting this tomorrow,” promised one person.
A second said: “Wow, that’s so inspiring. You did it.”
And affirmation from another: “Thanks for posting. It’s doable.”
