So disappointed!’ rant Death in Paradise fans as they blast BBC for ‘ridiculous’ TV schedule with no sight of new series
DEATH in Paradise fans have been left fuming after the show has ‘gone missing’ following its Christmas special.
BBC viewers were left over the moon to get another peak into all the action over Christmas especially with the promise of a new series on the horizon.
Although, many have now been left disappointed after the Beeb failed to confirm an air date for the new episodes.
Fans had also been hoping the show would follow its trend by launching during the first week of January.
Last year, the hit drama kicked off on January 6 but it seems as though that has not been the plan for this year.
Ralf Little, who leads the show as DI Neville Parker, admitted that filming on the 13th series had wrapped four months ago.
The BBC have already revealed that a 14th series is due to be released in 2025 which has left fans begging for the 13th one sooner rather than later.
Branding the lack of information “disappointing”, one fan wrote on X – formerly Twitter: “When is S13 starting??? I keep checking BBC iPlayer and am so disappointed not knowing when it starts pls let me know!”
Another went on to add: “The BBC scheduling is ridiculous – it’s usually on by this time – brings a bit of sun in dreary January! Now hurry up – we’re all waiting.”
A third echoed: “Any reason why there’ve been no announcements as to when we can expect S13? This show usually brings a bit of sunshine to a dreary January, and that’s been missed this year.”
As a fourth raged: “New season needs to really start by now! Otherwise I am taking a flight to Guadeloupe (Saint Marie island) myself!”
Before a fifth seethed: “If there was a decision to delay airing DIP for something else, I think it’s a mistake.
“It’s also frustrating to receive no official word on when to expect the series. Just pointing out, Doctor Who told us to expect the 60th anniversary in November more than a year in advance, and it made a difference having an idea of the air date.”
