DANCING on Ice fans were all left demanding a huge format shake-up following the second episode of the show’s sixteenth series.
Viewers of the hit ITV show were all left making the same complaint about the show’s judges with one even left asking: “What’s the point?”
Dancing on Ice fans have blasted the show’s judges[/caption] Their scoring has come under fire from fuming fans[/caption]They were unhappy with the panel’s “ridiculous” scoring as they suggested it was a long-term problem with the show.
Head judges Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean hand out the scores to the celebs alongside fellow panellists Oti Mabuse and Ashley Banjo.
Unhappy fans appeared to hint the voting was ‘rigged’ as they argued that some stars received vastly different final marks despite appearing to perform very similarly.
Former EastEnders star Ricky Norwood saw three different scores for his routine that ranked him close to Coronation Street star Claire Sweeney and comedian Lou Sanders, who eventually ended up in the bottom two.
Taking to X – formerly Twitter – to rant about the scoring, one fan said: “What’s the point in the judges if they don’t mark fairly?.”
Another went on to add: “I think the scoring by the judges tonight has been how can you put it, dubious!!!!!”
A third penned: “The scoring is absolutely all over the place.”
The comments continued to roll in as a fourth fumed: “I respect the judges credentials but I definitely don’t agree with their scoring.”
“I thought the judges marks had got better this year, but no, all over the place. Ridiculous scoring!,” wrote another before someone else slammed the scoring as “bonkers,” writing: “Scoring is bonkers on #dancingonIce.”
Comedian Lou Sanders found themselves in the skate off against boxer Ricky Hatton, who was placed there after the first show last week.
The two celebrities took to the ice one more time with their pro partners before the judges made their decision.
Ricky danced to If I Can Dream by Elvis Presley while Lou performed again to Try by Pink.
In the end, the ice panel decided to save Lou and send Ricky home.
He said: “I’m gutted to be going home, I’ve tried to be a winner all my life in everything I’ve done. It’s been a while since I saw the second round.
“I’ve had a great time, I’ve met some wonderful friends, I’d like to thank Robin for all her hard work, the coaches for all their hard work.”
