COLOR matching base products can be difficult but don’t have to be wasteful.
One makeup influencer has revealed how she matches foundations to her skin tone using a simple hack.
Jasmine, a make-up expert, shared her tip for fixing foundations[/caption]Jasmine (@juicyjasofficial) shared the beauty advice with over 150,000 TikTok followers.
As she got ready for the day, she demonstrated to viewers how to get a foundation that was too dark to work for her skin tone.
“The number one makeup tip I wish I knew sooner — when you have a foundation that’s too dark for you, don’t go buying a lighter shade or mixing it in with a lighter foundation,” she said.
Instead, the influencer picked up the L.A. Girls Foundation mixing pigment in the shade white, $10.
She added a few pumps of the pigment into the foundation on the back of her hand, mixed it up, and applied it with a sponge.
Although she added a new base, she was glad to report back that the pigment did not affect the quality of her makeup.
“What’s nice about these is it’s not going to change the finish or coverage of your foundation, it’s just going to alter the color,” she said.
Similarly, for foundations that did not have the right undertone or were too yellow, she recommended using the same approach.
She mixed in a few drops of the same product in a blue shade for a foundation that was too yellow.
“These work like a charm and for the price, you cannot go wrong,” she said.
People agreed that the tip was a huge game-changer for their makeup arsenal.
“I just bought the white and I’m obsessed!” said one commenter.
“I finally picked this up because I never get my shade right,” said another.
