A WOMAN has revealed that she and her partner bought a 1960s bungalow and have given it a mega makeover.
Tanis Rose, a fashion and interiors influencer explained that there were lots of tears along the way, but now her home is unrecognisable.
Tanis explained that she has a dormer bungalow – a bungalow with a dormer window in the roof space.
Posting on social media, the content creator gave her followers a close-up look at the before, during and after of her semi-detached home’s overhaul.
She wrote: “Our renovation journey. A year full of excitement, tears and stress but I would do it all over again for our dream home.”
The DIY enthusiast then explained: “We bought this 1960s dormer bungalow one year ago.
“I can’t believe what a difference one year can make!”
As she showed off the inside of the home, which was an empty shell with no paint, wallpaper, carpet or flooring, she added: “We knocked down walls to make it open plan and added our bi-fold doors.
“We added a neutral kitchen and herringbone flooring.
“Lots of tears along the way.
“Finally we started to see what we imagined.
“We are still renovating as there’s lots more to do.”
Tanis then shared videos of her finished kitchen and living room, as she later added: “I’m so happy with the flooring we picked!
“It’s the perfect colour and looks like real wood.”
She also described her minimalist, renovated home as her ‘happy space’.
Now, Tanis’ home is totally unrecognisable, with a beautiful white, bright and open kitchen.
The home is not only modern, but very on trend too, with black detailing and boucle furniture.
To add to the homely feel of the house, Tanis added dark woods and carved furniture, giving the home a cosy but unique feel.
We think Tanis’ home looks fabulous – and is something you’d expect to see in a posh interiors magazine.
The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @tanisrosee, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has amassed 13,300 views.
Social media users were stunned at the home renovation and many were eager to express this in the comments.
One person said: “You are sooo talented.”
Another added: “Beautiful.”
A third commented: “Wow, that looks amazing!”
