KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Last year, FOX4 introduced you to Big Charlie's Saloon, AKA ‘Arrowhead East’ the only chiefs bar in Philadelphia.
Now, we take you to Buffalo, to the only Kansas City Chiefs bar in western New York. The idea conceived before the Bills and Chiefs rivalry took off.
The owner has been a fan of the team since the age of six.
"We are a group of exceptionally passionate knowledgeable dedicated fans that take it very seriously, Vinnie Garofalo, the owner of Casey’s Black Rock said.
We already knew Chief’s Kingdom resided in places far and wide. In Buffalo, New York, Garofalo and his gang are holding it down.
The idea to open the bar inspired by Big Charlie’s Saloon our friends in south Philly, little did he know what he would soon be walking into.
"Initially it wasn't a problem here in Buffalo, everyone thought it was funny. There weren't many of us, then fast forward to the next season, we inevitably face each other in the AFC Championship game," he said.
Remember when Patrick Mahomes had that Super Bowl trophy at the parade? That was Garofalo's replica trophy he brought from Black Rock, a selfie with Mahomes, now a tattoo he has, simply waiting on the signature.
Come Sunday’s game, the bar will be open and rooting for a Chiefs win 990 miles away in western New York.
"Open for business, business as usual come one come all," he said.
Garofalo said their DM's have been flooded with Chiefs fans going to New York for the game, so we can assure Chiefs Kingdom will be well represented.
