A BEAUTY fan has shared the skincare method she uses to maintain a youthful complexion.
The woman, who is in her 30s, revealed the unique application hack she uses every day.
In her video, Bambi (@bambidoesbeauty) demonstrated her go-to “sandwich method” for anti-aging.
“I am closer to 40 than I am to 20 and I look younger now than I did in my 20s,” the TikToker explained.
“This is one skincare hack I started doing when I started noticing fine lines, it’s called the retinol sandwich method.”
For the first step, Bambi applied “a light layer of moisturizer” to her face.
She used the $20 Bioactive Ceramide Repairing and Plumping Moisturizer from The Inkey List.
“It’s perfect for this because it’s rich and nourishing,” Bambi told her viewers.
“It absorbs really quickly [and is] fragrance-free, which I always prefer when doing this method because we’re going to go in with retinol now.”
She added that the moisturizer is “clinically proven to reduce fine lines and wrinkles in 28 days.”
“If you’ve got sensitive skin, you’ll know what it’s like when you find a product that’s just easy, hasn’t got any fragrance and doesn’t sting,” she said.
“It’s not too rich but it’s not too light, it’s just perfect.”
As she applied her prescription strength retinol, Bambi explained that applying moisturizer first helps to create a buffer for the skin.
“Once the retinol is absorbed, go in with another layer of moisturizer,” Bambi told her followers.
“[The] skin barrier is strong and retinol is sandwiched.”
