“NEVER say we don’t do anything for you,” Aldi has told shoppers after a “God tier” nostalgic biscuit returned to shelves.
The budget supermarket will start stocking Elkes Sports Shortcake biscuits for just 79p next week.
Fans of the buttery sport-themed biscuits were devastated when they disappeared from stores in 2022.
A kids’ favourite in the Eighties, the shortcake biscuits featured sports like cricket and cycling.
Announcing the biscuits’ return on Twitter, Aldi said: “Never say we don’t do anything for you lot x.”
The supermarket added: “No need to reminisce any further.
“This January, Aldi is stepping in to help revive nostalgic memories with the return of previously discontinued Elkes Sports Shortcake Biscuits.
“Aldi will now be the first retailer to put the biscuits back on shelves and bring back the deliciously dunkable biscuit, pleasing fans up and down the country.”
Aldi shoppers hailed the return of the “God tier” biscuits on social media.
One said: “You’re spoiling us rotten!”
Another said: “I remember these at my grandma’s and grandpa’s.”
A third said: “That unlocks a memory.”
