My husband’s disabled & I’m able-bodied – people assume we can’t have sex & I’m just a gold digger, they’re so wrong
TWO couples in inter-abled relationships have hit back at nasty trolls who assume the women are just after their money.
Shane and Hannah took to social media to share some of the worst assumptions people have made on them based on being in an inter-abled relationship.
Along with their friends Cole and Charisma, the couples spoke the truth about their relationships and confronted the nasty assumptions people made about them.
Hannah said: “Our husbands are disabled, of course people assume we’re with them for their money.”
“Of course people think we aren’t intimate,” said Charisma while she walked alongside her partner Cole.
Hannah added that people often assume that the wives never carry their bags while out – instead hanging it on the back of her husband’s wheelchair.
Charisma added that people also assume they can just hop onto their husband’s wheelchair when they’re feed up of walking.
“We always have a ride,” she said as she sat on Cole’s lap and whizzed off into the distance.
“People assume we’re angels,” Hannah revealed because she is with Shane who has SMA but he revealed she definitely was not.
Charisma added that their husband’s take care of them just as much as they do.
Finishing the clip both women said: “Our husband’s are disabled, of course our relationships are just as worthy, loving and supportive as any other.”
The clip posted to their TikTok account @squirmyandgrubs has since gone viral with over 7million views and 700k likes.
People were quick to take to the comments and congratulate the happy couples.
One person wrote: “My fiance is paralysed, been together 7 years now. I relate to this so much.”
Another commented: “Fantastic video. More people need to realise this.”
“Unfortunately people can be narrow minded. All that matters is you two,” penned a third.
Meanwhile a fourth said: “Beautiful.”
“Ahwe sooo sweet,” claimed a fifth.
