Bayer Leverkusen are not looking at signing Jordan Henderson, who Liverpool have a sell-on clause in.
Henderson has become unhappy in Saudi Arabia since joining Al Ettifaq from Liverpool in the summer transfer window.
The England midfielder is now looking for an exit route from the Saudi Pro League and if he is sold by Al Ettifaq then Liverpool would be entitled to a portion of the fee.
As part of the agreement that Liverpool struck with Al Ettifaq, the Reds agreed a sell-on clause and if the midfielder is sold it will give the club a financial boost.
Bundesliga outfit Leverkusen have been linked with a possible swoop for Henderson.
However, Henderson is not a player that the BayArena side are looking at signing this month, according to Sky Deutschland.
Henderson’s large wages are tipped to be a possible issue in any exit from Al Ettifaq, while the Saudi Arabian side are also not in favour of losing him.
Al Ettifaq are currently clocking an average attendance figure of around 7,000, vastly less than Henderson was used to experiencing at Anfield.
