Primark is the latest store to release Stanley cup dupes, but there’s a VERY noticeable difference with their £8 version
THEY’RE all doing it – Home Bargains, The Range and even Tesco.
And now Primark has become the latest store to drop their version of the coveted Stanley cup.
While a real one can set you back up to £50, the Primark dupes are just £8, and come in a three different colours.
But there’s one major difference between the Primark cups and the real deal.
And that’s their size.
The authentic Stanley cups are 40oz, which has lead to loads of people joking about how massive they are.
However, Primark’s dupes are half the size at just 20oz.
One woman took to TikTok to encourage shoppers to “run, not walk” to Primark in a bid to get their hands on one of the ‘Stainless Steel Thermal Mugs’.
In her video, she showed a rack in the Birmingham Primark with all the cups on it, in three different colours – light grey, mocha and aqua.
“STANLEY DUPE ALERT,” she captioned the clip.
And people in the comments admitted they were desperate to try and nab one of the cups.
“I can’t even lie man, I don’t like Stanleys but I kinda want one of these,” one wrote.
“I got the mocha one,” another added.
To which the woman replied: “That’s my fave colour!”
“How do you clean those straws?” someone else asked.
“I use a straw cleaner,” the poster responded.
But not everyone was convinced by the dupe, as one wrote: “I saw them yes but I prefer a Stanley.”
As someone else revealed that the handle had broken off of theirs soon after they bought it.
In the description of the cup on their website, Primark writes: “Keep your hydration topped up while you’re out of the house with the help of this travel mug.
“Made from stainless steel, it features a large carry handle and curved straw for convenience, as well as a lid for added security to help prevent spills.”
