The Masked Singer fans convinced that Hollywood actress is behind Eiffel Tower after string of ‘glaring clues’
FANS of The Masked Singer have been left assured that a Hollywood legend is behind the over-the-top Eiffel Tower costume.
It could see one of the biggest names on the ITV show’s history if the fan theory proves to be correct.
Eiffel Tower appeared to put on a French accent throughout their clue package but the panel were quick to debunk that it was real.
Online, fans also agreed with the judges – Rita Ora, Mo Gilligan, Jonathan Ross and Davina McCall – as they believed that it was actually a major US sitcom star.
Speculation was rife that Sex and the City star Kim Cattrall was the secret singer after fans spotted a string of giveaway clues.
In the VT, Eiffel Tower received a text message from a mysterious Mr. Big which fans have connected to the character from Kim’s popular show.
Despite its French roots, the Eiffel Tower was also seen posing away on the famous Abbey Road crossing in London, famed for its association with Liverpool rockers The Beatles.
Eagle-eyed viewers were also quick to highlight how Kim’s birthplace was Liverpool and how the Eiffel Tower character could be giving a nod to that.
Kim lived in Liverpool until she was three months old and again for a period during her teenage years.
Writing on X – formerly Twitter – one fan exclaimed: “Kim Cattrall? Abbey Road references (she was born in Liverpool where The Beatles were from) and Sex And The City.”
Another said: “First gut instinct Eiffel Tower is Kim Cattrall.”
Before another wrote: “I’ll scream if Kim Cattrall takes off that mask.”
As a fourth said: “I would say Kim Cattrall for Eiffel Tower.”
Eiffel Tower impressed the judges with their performance and they managed to sail through to the next round.
During the episode, Chicken Ceasar was unmasked as Pointless host Alexander Armstrong in a shock second unmasking.
It comes one week after soul singing legend Dionne Warwick became the first star to be ditched after the character of Weather was voted off.
