‘The Real Housewives of Atlanta’ Cast: In Order of Appearance [PHOTOS]
In October 2008, Bravo’s “Real Housewives” franchise branched out into the American South with the addition of its third installment, “The Real Housewives of Atlanta.” With its introduction came the unprecedented inclusion of housewives of color, which has remained a defining aspect of the show for 15 seasons. Over the course of more than 300 episodes, 17 women have been credited as official cast members, having formed numerous five to seven-person groups. Initially, “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” focused on the dramatic and sometimes adversarial friendships of NeNe Leakes, DeShawn Snow, Shereé Whitfield, Lisa Wu, and Kim Zolciak. Snow departed after one season and was replaced by Kandi Burruss, whose current 14-season tenure is longer than that of any other cast member and well above the 5.2 year average. For the last two seasons, her costars have been Whitfield, Kenya Moore, Drew Sidora, Marlo Hampton, and Sanya Richards-Ross.
Whereas every other American “Real Housewives” iteration has produced a maximum of three spin-offs, “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” has spawned 10, six of which were single-season shows led by Burruss between 2013 and 2022. Seasons 5-13 housewife Porsha Williams starred on “Porsha’s Having a Baby” (2019) and “Porsha’s Family Matters” (2021-2022), while Leakes led “I Dream of NeNe” (2013) and Zolciak spent eight years headlining “Don’t Be Tardy” (2012-2020).
