started a company back in the day called velocity racing you know manufactured turbo kits for you know Suzuki and

kawazaki you know pretty much Japanese sport bikes um you know we might have done a Harley or two but you know mainly

Japanese sport bikes um you know obviously he went on to win multiple Pro Street championships you we won you know

through other Riders multiple Super Street championships pretty much any power add or non power add or sport bike

class we won you know through through up to 2008 anyway right right um you know

at that time I think we quit racing in 2011 I think was our last year so I kind

of rode I raced Pro Street on and off there the last couple years and then uh

I had a pretty competitive season in super Street you know back so so so give

story about Taylor is he actually won summer uh while we were both in High School uh he actually came and stayed at

my house for the entire summer when we built his grocery bike so the season before he actually started racing he

came and stayed at my house for like two months while we built this grocery wow and yeah I mean that’s all we did we

never had spring break we never had summer break we never had that’s the bike life baby yeah I never went to a

prom or nothing I was a drag racer oh yeah and I loved it I mean I wouldn’t have it any other way you know but uh

bike probably three or four years later that I was just doing like some testing and tuning with and you know had

aspirations of maybe running real street but you know didn’t really have the budget for it yet yeah so I actually

ended up selling that thing took a little more time off and then that’s when I actually took a run at building that real street bike I built that Turbo

so and and also you know I was kind of struggling with the you know the purse and you know it’s just it’s a lot of

money and it’s a you know you spend a lot on the bike to you know not get a huge return and you know so I don’t know

I’m I’m almost considering going to you know a grudge Direction with the bike I really haven’t you know considered which

way I’m going now this time but you know that’s kind of what made me decide to uh

you know sell the bike while it was fresh and new you know and get you know get some good money out of it you know

yeah so you basically put together you know I guess I guess Cecil and them had

like the pro street 1000 and there was like some stuff starting to come but you you had a you know a a real Street turbo

1000 what was this probably three years ago four years ago now yeah you made or

or collaborated with a bunch of people whoever you can shout them out if you want but I mean just like got this

badass turbo jiger 1000 the new jiger together um started testing and then

what kind of like you said were just fighting with the idea of the purse and then just the amount of time and money you’re gonna spend to get it ready yeah

it really wasn’t that I I really had to go back to work you know I really didn’t have any time for the bike it sat in the

shop you know for months at a time and it just you know I just really didn’t have any time for it so uh I actually

ended up selling the bike I took another two or three years off and then that’s when I came back and started racing

superstock with you guys yeah so the type of motorcycle that you can just

race you have to work on it race I show up you know I can come stay

with Ben I can you know I just put clutch in it that’s your job that’s it exactly so that bike is super easy to

maintain and when you’re building a business and you know working full-time you know that’s you know you got to have

something that’s easy you know yeah for sure and that’s uh that’s one of those things too that um look

dude I don’t think you could have chose a harder class to race I mean like superstock is the Riders class this guy

for sure and then I picked the hardest combination to try and race I mean cable

missed the last race but in between at the RAC track middle I was at the RAC

you didn’t have to drive a whole ass day to go there you just went the racetrack that was the difference I mean you got

got to remember you’re in Florida you just can’t go to XDA on a whim like that’s a planned out week you know to do

yeah 100% so you put in the work you did some offseason mods and then put in the work and I’m talking like February

because yeah you came up to my place and picked the bike up what it had have been like January February last year about a

year ago oh yeah it was cold so yeah yeah and then uh you went straight to testing down there in beautiful Florida

and man you were uh you were as prepared for for this season as I feel like it could have been yeah and although like

you said you missed the first and last race so what you only made it to three races um man

I low ET and high mile hour right like a lot like often no I mean I high mile per

hour maybe yeah I was high mile an hour at every event that I thought so that you were there yeah I thought so I was

first at one event and I qualified I think third at a couple others in the mix yeah but I was in the top five you

qualifi top five every event yeah that’s awesome yeah because you were putting in the work and uh had done all that

two or all the races you went to and that’s what uh huh I was hoping that’s uh yeah but

that goes back to the class man you you’re literally in the hardest class I mean there so easy make a mistake right

familiar well my bike is is a is a different ball game alog together okay

that is true because it’s a thousand the way the way the butterflies come in right you know I I have the butterflies

coming in as the RPMs rise with the motor right so when I leave if I hang on

to the clutch too much and the RPM M get up too high my butterflies will go wild

right so I have to really manage the RPMs you know when I come out you know

because see on a on a normal bike you know you can pull some timing out of first gear go out there and hold it wide

open if the RPMs run away the RPMs run away my bike I can’t do that I’m having to do it with butterflies so I have to I

have to like keep it within a certain RPM range when I leave you know can’t go

above 11,000 when I leave so there’s a lot of things that go into it and then you’re trying to cut a light you know

and you’re in the third round and and you know shit’s you know you’re sweating and you know the guy just went a 892

next to you you know the past before you know it’s going to be tight you know and you’re trying to cut a light and then

you leave and the bike goes to 11,200 RPM and now the butterflies are are

going away on you in the bikes Wheeling you know so it’s insane there’s a lot that goes into you know riding these

little on 1000s and then you’re on a cable clutch you know which is a little harder um but it’s a uh I enjoy it

because you know a lot of people have ran from it already they’ve you know a lot of guys in the class have sold their

year I didn’t compete but I just went and showed up and watched and uh because I didn’t really have anything at that time I just had my little superstar bike

so you know I have a role race bike that I’m currently building that I’m in the middle of wiring it’s a turbo bike it’s
