Savvy mum shares hack for getting rid of dark circles using 50p item found in the fridge
A SAVVY mum has shared a simple hack for getting rid of dark circles under your eyes using a 50p item found in the cupboard.
43-year-old Kate shared the tip via a video posted to her TikTok channel @yourmategingerkate where she often posts cheap and natural anti-ageing tricks.
In the opening clip of her video, Kate shared before and after pictures of her face, showing how her hack helped to make her dark circles disappear.
Opening the video, Kate said: “Who wants to witness the power of cucumber?”.
The anti-ageing pro then drew viewers attention to her face, highlighting that she had dark circles under her eyes.
To begin her skincare treatment Kate dabbed some castor oil under her eyes, which she said drives the nutrients from the cucumber further into the skin.
After adding thin slices of cucumber under each of her eyes, Kate said: “The secret is to slice these as thinly as you can so that they stay on your face”.
She said that to get the slices so thin, she uses a potato peeler instead of a knife.
Kate said that this way you can carry on your day as normal with the cucumber slices still on your face.
After 15 minutes, Kate removed the cucumber from her face and showed viewers the results.
“It’s almost as if my face has actually lightened”, she said revealing that the dark circles had completely disappeared.
She continued: “I promise you that this is just castor oil and cucumber. This is not some expensive designer cream. Girls, if you’ve got dark circles, you need to be getting on this.”
TikTok users raced to the video’s comments section to share their thoughts on Kate’s beauty hack.
