Hello Friends,
A glorious morning along the beaches, with sunny skies and a light SW breeze for the morning session. But, alas, as the pictures show, the dead south 8-sec 1.4 metre swell is missing pretty much everywhere. Even the best exposures are struggling to produce anything much above the knee high mark. So, a great day for a swim or an exercise paddle, but not much else for surfers.
If you’re wondering about our prospects for the first week of 2024, you’re in luck because the Mighty Goat has polished the crystal ball, cast the runes, checked the entrails and summoned the surf spirits to reveal all.
Go well with your Saturday one and all!
An inland low pressure trough is deepening and moving into northeast New South Wales today while a high pressure ridge builds from the southwest and slowly moves eastward over the weekend. From early next week, another inland trough redevelops over the far west, while the ridge remains over the central and southern coastal waters as the associated high moves into the Tasman Sea.
