A WOMAN has shared her home renovation journey, after she transformed a house with crumbling walls and no central heating into her dream home.
Natalie Glaze shares regular updates on the progress of her renovation via videos posted to her TikTok channel, @natalieglaze1.
In one video, Natalie shared that she bought the house because she thought it had “potential”, despite the property having crumbling walls, no central heating and rotten floorboards.
The TikToker added that she initially thought the house just needed a lick of paint, but soon realised how wrong she was.
When Natalie first purchased her home, the decor was incredibly outdated, with ugly floral curtains, stained carpet and archaic looking kitchen cupboards.
She joked that her personal highlight was the “freezing blue room with a falling down ceiling and damp crumbling walls”.
Natalie set to work on her renovation straight away and fixed the walls, ceilings and rotten floorboards, and added in new windows, electrics, heating and a working shower to the bathroom.
She painted over the brown walls which she said looked “depressing” and knocked down the living room wall to make her downstairs open plan.
In “after” pictures of the renovation, Natalie has kept some of the old fashioned style of the house but has made it chic.
She replaced the rotten back door with a stunning glass one, which added lots of light to the previously dingy living room.
She also ripped up the ugly carpets and replaced them with stylish parquet flooring.
In the bathroom, Natalie added a gorgeous marble sink with gold taps and in the living room added a chic bookshelf with all of her favourite books.
TikTok users have flooded the comments sections of Natalie’s videos to praise her for the house’s incredible transformation.
One user said: “I love that you are keeping so much of the architecture details but still adding a touch of modern.”
