Rangers are closing in on signing striker Fabio Silva after reaching an agreement over a loan with Wolves, according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano.
Philippe Clement has been looking to add more goals to his squad in January and signing a striker has been a priority.
Rangers have been considering a number of options over the last few weeks and it has been claimed that they are close to bringing in a new goalscorer.
Silva has been identified as the striker they want and the Glasgow giants have moved at a rapid pace to try and secure his signature.
A deal is now in place between Wolves and Rangers for the Portuguese to move to Ibrox on loan.
He will soon travel to Scotland to complete the formalities of the move, which includes a medical.
Silva will sign a contract that will see him spend the rest of the season in the hotbed of Scottish football.
Silva has been on the fringes of the Wolves first-team squad this season and has not played in the league since early November.
Clement and Rangers director of football Nils Koppen played a big role in getting the deal over the line.
The Glasgow giants do not have an option to buy in the loan agreement with Wolves for Silva.
