Mariah Carey brought a glamorous twist to snow-day style while out in Aspen.
On Saturday, Carey slipped on a pair of black leather boots to go shopping in the Colorado skiing destination. The Grammy Award-winning musician’s style featured smooth uppers with rounded toes, set atop thick platform soles. Tall block heels completed the pair with a balanced base.
Carey’s boots embraced the recent rise of platform-soled footwear while remaining versatile and sharp, thanks to their color, texture and height. Due to their popularity, similar pairs are regularly released from a range of labels in the fall and winter months, as seen in new styles from Vince Camuto, Giuseppe Zanotti and Paris Texas, among others.
Carey’s platforms added a soaring base to the rest of her ensemble for the occasion: a plaid Burberry poncho, black top and black leather pants, paired with tan Chanel faux fur earmuffs. For added glitz, the “Heartbreaker” singer finished her look with sparkling diamond cocktail rings, a diamond-coated chain necklace and oversized sunglasses. The moment marked the musician’s latest outing in Aspen, following her Friday appearance in heeled Christian Louboutin boots.
