Nottingham Forest Ready To Rival Fulham For 21-year-old Club Skipper

Nottingham Forest are prepared to rival Fulham for the signature of Ligue 1 defender Arouna Sangante, according to journalist Alan Nixon.

 

Le Havre are enjoying a superb season back amongst the elite in France and currently sit eleventh in the Ligue 1 standings.

 

Key to their success has been 21-year-old defender Sangante and his performances have not gone unnoticed across the channel.

 

 

 

Fulham are looking to snap him up and bring him to the Premier League, but they now have competition in the shape of Nottingham Forest.

 

Forest are checking up on the Senegal-born centre-back and are prepared to rival Fulham for his signature as they look to back new boss Nuno.

 

 

Sangante came through the esteemed youth set-up at Le Havre and helped the club win promotion from Ligue 2 last term.

 

The defender, who can also operate as a right-back, is wearing the captain’s armband at Le Havre despite his tender years.

 

 

Sangante helped Le Havre keep a clean sheet against Lyon in Ligue 1 in September, while he repeated the feat against top seven sides Lens and Monaco.

 

His deal at Le Havre runs until the summer of 2026.
