I tried the viral H&M bow top that ‘everyone and their granny has’ – it’s an epic fail, I look like a deflated present
A FASHIONISTA has been left disappointed after trying on the viral H&M bow top – joking that she looks like a “deflated present”.
Jilly Cross, from Glasgow, regularly shares her outfit choices and shopping hauls with her army of social media followers (@jillyisabella).
In a recent video, she showed off her outfit for a night out to support her friends’ podcast show.
But she was less than impressed with her red one-shouldered top.
Jilly, engaged to ex-Rangers and current Hearts star Andy Halliday, said: “I’m wearing the H&M top that absolutely everybody and their granny has.
“But what they don’t tell you is it’s completely impossible to iron.
“So this is as best as I can do.
“I look a deflated present.
“I look like your mum and dad’s bins on Boxing Day.”
She added: “Anyway, H&M top, a little bow – I can’t stop putting bows in my hair. That’s from Anthropology.
“My trousers are NAKD, Chanel bag and a little ASOS [heel].
“I’m going to see my friends live podcast, their first ever live show is tonight.
“I’m very excited and I’m very proud. And they are going to smash it.”
Jilly’s £42.99 bow-front top is completely sold out on the H&M website, with fashionistas desperate to get their hands on it.
But they are also loving the Scots influencer’s hilarious review, as her clip racked up 120,000 views.
“Jilly I swear you are killing the holiday fits”, one gushed.
A second wrote: “That top looks amazing but I’m so much of a non-iron person that I’d wear it only once.”
Meanwhile, a third added: “You really make me laugh. I’ve got a handheld steam cleaner – that might work for these kind of tops.”
Describing the bow top online, H&M bosses said: “Fitted, sleeveless top in woven fabric with a voluminous bow on the front that continues over one shoulder, creating an asymmetric neckline.
“Concealed silicone trim at the top and boning at the front and back to add shape and support.”
