The Colorado GOP threatened to withdraw from the state's primary election if the state Supreme Court's ruling booting Donald Trump from the ballot is allowed to stand, Fox News reported Wednesday.
The threat to move to a caucus system was made by a state GOP spokesperson in response to presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy's declaration that he would withdraw from the 2024 campaign if the ruling stands.
"I pledge to withdraw from the Colorado GOP primary ballot until Trump is also allowed to be on the ballot, and I demand that Ron DeSantis, Chris Christie, and Nikki Haley do the same immediately — or else they are tacitly endorsing this illegal maneuver which will have disastrous consequences for our country," Ramaswamy said in the video.

The Colorado Republican Party replied: "You won't have to because we will withdraw from the Primary as a Party and convert to a pure caucus system if this is allowed to stand."
The Colorado Supreme Court, whose justices were all appointed by Democratic governors, marks the first time in history that the 14th Amendment has been used to boot a presidential candidate from the ballot.
Trump has said it is a ruling he will appeal as soon as next week.
