Australia-based formalwear brand Portia & Scarlett has been acquired by US wedding dress manufacturer Allure Bridals for an undisclosed sum.
Allure Bridals said the strategic acquisition marks its venture into the prom and pageant space and will help expand the brand’s global reach. It will also “elevate the position” of both Portia & Scarlett and the Allure Bridals brand family.
“This union marks a shared milestone, and seamlessly aligns with our mutual commitment to excellence in the bridal, formalwear and prom industries,” said Kelly Crum, CEO of Allure Bridals.
Founded in 2014, Portia & Scarlett is known for its sophisticated designs featuring contemporary fabrics, trending colour palettes, and expert construction.
The label is present in 47 countries including Australia, the US and the UK, with a network of nearly 1000 stockists.
