So, remember how there were just a bunch of rumors surrounding Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, saying that he could propose to her on her birthday on Dec 13th? Well, that ship has sailed, but insiders claim it’s definitely not the end of a potential engagement sooner than anyone thought. In fact, these insiders even alleged that Kelce made a seriously romantic gesture ahead of potentially proposing to the legendary singer. He asked her father’s permission to marry her!
Seriously, cue the wedding bells, because everybody is freaking out. While it’s been claimed that the lovebirds will be spending the holidays together and that they have been basically living together for the past few weeks, it seems they may make another monumental step together soon: walking down the aisle!
“Scott [Swift] has been asked for his blessing and has wholeheartedly given it, and Travis has been talking to friends about a ring,” the insider claimed to Page Six, also gushing that Kelce is the perfect match for Taylor, saying, “Taylor finally has a partner willing and game. He’s like, ‘I’ll stand by the side of the stage and wait for you to jump in my arms — I’ll do that!’”
(Hilarie Burton even called it and said that they’d be engaged super soon!)
For those who don’t know, Kelce and the Midnights singer made their relationship public in Sept 2023, but she told Time during her Person of the Year interview that they actually got together soon after his podcast episode where he talked about shooting his shot. (That was in July 2023!)
Could 2023 be the year they get engaged? Or will they be starting 2024 on a high note? Either way, we can’t wait to find out!
