Hailey Bieber Breaks Fashion Rules in Unique Mary Jane Ballet Flats in Los Angeles with Justin Bieber
Hailey Bieber was spotted out in Los Angeles with her husband and musician Justin Bieber on Thursday.
Worn with chunky white ankle socks, the model sported a pair of black Mary Jane-inspired women’s ballet flats. The hybrid pair featured matt leather uppers that transitioned into thin strappy construction accompanied by square toes with and coordinating black leather buckle closures fitted with silver hardware. The straps were extremely reminiscent of a classic Mary Jane silhouette.
The flats sat atop what appeared to be short square heels that lifted Hailey’s heels just a smidge. Ballet flats are a go-to style for many celebrities, Hailey included. The shoe silhouette has become increasingly popular in the past few years thanks to brands like Maison Margiela and Miu Miu, among others.
Reminiscent of model-off-duty style, Hailey was dressed casually and cool in a red crew-neck sweater reading the words “New York” on the front. The slouchy sweater was offset by a pair of matching red micro shorts.
Layered over it all, the runway regular sported a tan wool coat in a structural and oversized style crafted of thick and warm wool. Rounding out her look, Hailey wore a blue Nike branded baseball cap, shiny gold jewelry, thin black sunglasses and a black leather bowling bag. The brand owner opted to wear her dark tresses in mini braids.
Beyond her fabulous wardrobe, Hailey has become a darling of the fashion industry, appearing in campaigns for Guess, Levi’s, Ugg, Ralph Lauren and Zadig & Voltaire, among other top brands. The star’s extensive shoe closet includes an eclectic and impressive mix of streetwear sneakers and sleek heels. The model also favors embellished pumps, loafers and strappy sandal heels from Tabitha Simmons and Jimmy Choo.
