The Nanaimo Clippers are very pleased to announce that goaltender #31 Tyler Hodges has committed to Dartmouth College of Hanover, New Hampshire, for the 2025-2026 season.
The Gormley, Ontario native joined the Clippers after playing last year with the Haliburton County Huskies of the Ontario Junior Hockey League. He played in 19 games with 13 wins and 5 losses. He had a 2.00 goals-against average and a .931 save percentage.
So far in his rookie season with the Clippers, Tyler has played in 20 games with 13 wins, 6 losses and 1 shoot-out loss. He has a 3.54 GAA and a 0.896 save percentage.
Tyler commented on the commitment: “I would like to thank everyone who has helped me get to this point, including my coaches and teammates here in Nanaimo have been nothing but supportive. Can’t wait to make the next step at Dartmouth.”
The coaching staff had this to say, “Tyler took a chance on our program and league and has been rewarded for his hard work. The Clippers are very happy to see him at a quality program like Dartmouth where former stand-out Clippers’ goalie Cooper Black is.”
Dartmouth Big Green ice hockey team is a Division 1 ice hockey program that represents Dartmouth College. They are in the ECAC and play in Thompson Arena in Hanover, New Hampshire.
