I wore a see-through Fashion Nova dress to formal, people say it was inappropriate, but I prefer ‘iconic’
A RISK-TAKER stunned viewers when she shared the dress she wore to her formal.
It was a little more revealing than some liked.
A fashionista who goes by @indiplacee on TikTok didn’t hold back with her dress for this year’s formal, as she share in a clip.
She turned to Fashion Nova for a floor-length dress that featured rhinestones all along it.
While the length was not the problem for most, its material and silhouette was.
The dress was sheer black so that you could see her skin through it, and the neckline featured a bra-style, underwire top that lifted her boobs and flaunted her cleavage.
Hugging her body tightly from top to bottom, the frock also accentuated her hourglass shape.
She wore her hair in loose curls and accessorized with a silver draped necklace and silver hoops – playing off of the monochrome rhinestones on the gown.
“Formalities,” she captioned the clip, clearly proud of how she looked for the event.
Many viewers gushed over her style.
“I’m in LOVEEE,” one person praised, with another echoing, “You are beautiful.”
In a follow up clip, however, she revealed that she had her fair share of critics to.
Still, she was able to brush them off.
“When someone asked why I wore a see-through formal dress,” she began.
Using a voice over to express how she felt about the Karens, she mouthed along as it said: “Because it’s iconic, and I love to do iconic s***.”
She stood by her choice, captioning it: “Dress was on point.”
And viewers said she won the night, with one writing, “Ngl, it was the best dress at formal,” and another echoing, “Who could’ve done it better?”
