The Las Vegas Raiders are coming off a game in which QB Aidan O’Connell threw four touchdowns. No need to draft a QB in 2024, right?
Probably wrong. Vegas needs its QB of the future and maybe a Heisman Trophy winner would be a fit.
The latest NFL mock draft from our Christian D’Andrea had Vegas taking edge rusher Laiatu Latu out of UCLA at No. 5 overall, and in the new mock from Sports Illustrated, the Raiders grab Jayden Daniels out of LSU with the No. 6 pick, which makes a lot of sense for the franchise.
What’s the reasoning? Here’s Luke Easterling’s take:
This entire roster needs a massive overhaul, but nothing matters until you have a difference-maker at quarterback. That’s exactly what Daniels was for the Bayou Bengals this season, putting up historic numbers while making huge leaps as a passer to go with this dynamic running ability. The Heisman Trophy winner would bring immediate juice to this entire franchise.
