I bought 8 tubs of Quality Street to see which flavours were most common & it’s bad news if you’re a green triangle fan
IT’S one of the most popular chocolates in the Quality Street tub.
But it’s bad news if you’re a green triangle fan, one man discovered, as you get the least amount of them in a box.
Charlie has taken it upon himself to buy eight tubs of all the most popular Christmas chocolates, and divide them up to see which flavours are the most common.
His latest experiment saw him tackle Quality Street, but the first thing that caught his eye was the fact that the wrappers have changed.
He also added that he prefers the octagon shape of the Quality Street tub to the circular Celebrations, Heroes or Roses.
“A quick note for the research,” he noted.
“A lot stronger smell coming from these boxes, like rich cocoa. Don’t know why!”
And despite the fact that he had yet to count the chocolates, he could immediately see just by looking at them that there were more in certain colours.
“This was my favourite one to do by far, and I think it’s because of the colours,” he said.
“The colours are fantastic on this one. And there’s more variants.”
The first one he counted was the green milk chocolate block, as he found there were 32 of them in the eight tubs – averaging four per tub.
The purple one – another of the most popular variants, but one Charlie’s never tried himself – had 40 in all the tubs, an average of 5 per box.
Toffee pennies were up next, 45 in all – an average of 5.625 a tub.
Another toffee chocolate, the toffee fingers, had 39 in eight boxes, an average of 4.875.
There were 48 coconut eclairs, 6 per box, while there were 51 caramel swirls – 6.375 a box.
“Green triangle fans, look away now,” Charlie warned.
“Only 37, which means your average is 4.625 per box”.
Orange creams were up next- 48 in total, an average of six per tub.
“And then onto these,” he said.
“These smell really strong. Uh, strawberry delight,apparently.
“64 of them, which means you’re gonna get eight per tub.
“And last but not least, orange crunch. 43 in total, average of 5.375.”
People were quick to comment on the video, with one writing: “The shiny wrappers were the best thing about them .. they’ve unalived Christmas for me by changing them!”
“Why did they take away the shiney wrappers?! It’s so boring now,” another sighed.
“The orange crisps are criminally underrated,”a third commented.
“Green triangle best one by a mile,”someone else wrote.
The one he didn’t include in the TikTok video, he revealed on Twitter that there were 64 pink fudges in the eight tubs – an average of 8 per tub.
