Sunny windy bumpy junky
Hello Friends,
A nice morning weatherwise for Friday, but surf-wise, not so much. The south change came through at 9pm last night and since daybreak it’s been puffing along at 6-9 kts and giving the ocean surface some texture. There’s a tiny, 6-second period, dead south wind swell delivering weak, close-together bumpy lines to the south exposures. I reckon you;d be doing very well to find a waist high wave face this morning because it mostly looks more like ankle to knee-plus where Dee Why’s concerned. The fact that we have another super-swampy 1.95 high tide at 1040 along with a day of SE-NE wind, does not brighten our surf prospects either.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system lies over the Tasman Sea while a trough lies over northern and western New South Wales. The trough has stalled resulting in a southerly change along central and northern parts of the coast. A cold front passing to the south will bring another southerly change along the coast during the weekend.

- South to southeasterly 10 to 15 knots turning east to northeasterly in the afternoon. Winds reaching up to 20 knots offshore early in the morning and again in the evening.

- 1 to 1.5 metres, decreasing to 1 metre during the morning.

- Southerly around 1 metre, increasing to 1 to 1.5 metres during the morning.

- Mostly sunny.

- Northwest to northeasterly 10 to 15 knots tending west to northwesterly in the middle of the day then shifting southeasterly 15 to 20 knots in the early afternoon.
