Latest Trump rant shows he can't let his $250M fraud trial rest
Letitia James has rested her case, Chris Kise has rested his defense but, after a marathon 11-week civil court trial, Donald Trump can't take a break.
“I am worth Billions of Dollars more than is shown on my very Conservative Financial Statements, THE EXACT OPPOSITE OF THE A.G. WITCH HUNT!!!” former President Donald Trump wrote on his social media Truth Social site Thursday, one day after court proceedings concluded in his $250 million lawsuit. “NO VICTIMS, ONLY SUCCESS AND PROFITS.”
That’s not what Engoron ruled in his summary order that found Trump liable for fraudulently inflating his assets to secure better deals from lenders and investors. The trial, in which Trump denied wrongdoing, was to determine damages.
How much Trump is worth was the hot topic of the courtroom debate.
Financial news outlets have recently put his current worth between $2.6 billion, according to Forbes and $3.1 billion, according to Bloomberg, but mounting legal fees have reportedly forced the former president to tap his super PAC for funds.
James contended in court Trump systematically inflated the value of his assets by upwards of $3.6 billion between 2011 and 2021.
Once again, despite the trial’s conclusion until attorneys deliver closing statements next year, Trump argued the point.
“My Financial Statements were extremely ‘undervalued,’ as opposed to ‘overvalued,’ which totally disproves and nullifies the New York State Attorney General’s politically biased and motivated (“I will get Trump!”) Fake Lawsuit against me,” Trump wrote.
The real estate mogul — who risks being banned from doing business in the state of New York — had hoped to make this case in court on Monday.
But he ducked out at the last minute over admitted concerns about a limited gag order that prevented him from insulting court staff.
The last day in court proved to be an “ugly” one with Trump’s attorneys whipping out RateMyProfessors.com reviews in hopes of discrediting an Ivy League accounting professor who testified to errors in Trump’s financial statements.

Tempers were running high after a day during which Trump’s attorneys hit State attorney with a litany of objections and yet another request, highly likely to be rejected, to have the case thrown out.
“We want the defendants to rest their case,” Kevin Wallace pleaded at the time. “They should be resting.”
That message was not received by Trump, it appears.
“Hopefully, Judge Engoron, who should have never taken this NON JURY Trial, or should have dismissed it long ago,” he concluded. “Will show that the New York State Judicial System is ALIVE, RESPECTED, AND WELL. GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!
