EMMERDALE has finally revealed the identity of Chloe Harris’ dad as she makes a desperate plan to leave the village – and nobody saw it coming.
The character’s father has been teased on and off over the months, but tonight, Chloe made a phone call to a mystery person to arrange to meet as she continues to try and deal with ex, Mackenzie Boyd.
Chloe and her son Reuben have been hiding away from the village for the past few weeks after Mack reunited with Charity Dingle.
On Wednesday’s episode, Mack stole her sister Amy’s phone and tried to arrange to meet her, only for Chloe to realise at the last minute.
Tonight, she sneakily returned to Emmerdale to ask Amy what had happened, and Amy explained before trying to convince her sister to stay for good.
Chloe agreed, but then made the call and went to meet the person on the other end of it.
But viewers got a shock when villain Harry turned up – just weeks after he had kidnapped Chas Dingle and clashed with her brothers Cain and Caleb.
Looking at her, he said: “Chloe, sweetheart” before she replied: “Hi dad.”
It turns out ‘Harry’ is actually Damon Harris, and despite having been estranged for a long time, Damon explained how throughout he has had his eyes and ears on the her this whole time.
As they talked, Damon seemed to know about every twist and turn about her life and even said he had been at her bedside “every night” holding her hand when she was in a coma after her car toppled into a ravine during Super Soap Week.
When she asked why he hadn’t stepped in at any point in recent months if he knew what was happening, he said: “I thought you’d made the wrong decision running off what that gobby cow Kerry, but you made it, so I left you alone.
“I waited and watched, I’ve had eyes and ears on the ground the whole time. It almost killed me watching what those low lives did you you.
“But I knew that if I steamed in and sorted them out, then I’d lose you forever. I knew I had to wait for you to come to me.”
Chloe explained her current predicament regarding Mackenzie and how she wanted a new identity to get away, and Damon promised he would “sort it”.
But having explained how Mackenzie had left her to die after saving Charity from the car instead, it was clear Damon was furious, and had his own agenda regarding Mackenzie.
