Over the course of four episodes the 39-year-old try his hand at new hobbies.
He was accompanied by celebrity pals such as TV presenter Scarlett Moffatt, The Inbetweeners star Joe Thomas and telly chef Andi Oliver.
TV Zone report bosses at Channel 4 have decided not to bring the show back for another run.
Previously speaking about Hobby Man, Alex said: “It’s been amazing travelling around Britain with our brilliant guests and getting out my comfort zone trying new hobbies.
“From learning to knit, making my own beer and getting panicked 3000ft in the air in a glider – it’s been some experience! I hope the audience enjoy it as much as I have.”
Hobby Man’s apparent axe comes after Comedian Mo Gilligan announced that The Lateish Show won’t be returning.
Mo re-posted a picture of the glorious moment he received his Bafta award on his social media account, where he shared that it was the end of an era for the show, confirming that there will be no fifth series.
He penned: “After four incredible years, the Christmas episode of The Lateish Show, which transmits at 10pm on Wednesday 20th December, will be my last. I can’t even begin to describe how proud I am of this show.
“It genuinely changed my life and has created an industry-wide impact. It’s won numerous awards and achieved even more nominations, but it’s the army of people behind the scenes that made it happen who are so important.
“There are so many moments that I’ll always look back on with so much happiness. From that very first moment at Channel 4, where they took a chance on an ambitious young black creative who just couldn’t find a way into the industry.
“Most importantly, the viewers – those who have watched us, shared the clips, taken part and supported us for so long. It’s been a huge privilege to bring people into my world every Friday night and just have fun.”
