Taylor Swift, at 34, is giving peak millennial — and she's proud of it.
Swift, who was born on December 13, 1989, took to Instagram to promote the home edition of her Eras Tour concert film. The film, which is now available for rent in selected countries, was released on Wednesday.
But it wasn't all business for Swift, who took the opportunity to poke fun at her own emoji-laden post in a cheeky postscript.
"PS troll me all you want about my excessive and literal millennial emoji use but A) no one's prouder to be a millennial and B) it's my bday and today I am exempt!" Swift wrote.
Admittedly, the star has a penchant for emojis in her social media posts. Some of her favorites are the heart hands emoji and the kiss mark emoji.
Swift's fans have also been teasing her about her use of millennial slang in her TIME profile. Swift was named the 2023 Person of the Year by the magazine last week.
In her profile, Swift made several pop culture references while talking about the process of re-recording her albums.
"I'm collecting horcruxes. I'm collecting infinity stones. Gandalf's voice is in my head every time I put out a new one. For me, it is a movie now," Swift said.
"The TIME article on Taylor Swift was true millennial representation," one Swiftie wrote on X.
Representatives for Swift did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Business Insider sent outside regular business hours.
