Penélope Cruz Rewears Towering Chanel Sandals for ‘Ferrari’ Premiere in Los Angeles
Penélope Cruz popped on the red carpet at the “Ferrari” premiere in Los Angeles last night. The Oscar-winning actress donned a whimsical floral gown with platform sandals she was seen in earlier this month.
Cruz’s floor-length black dress featuring multicolored floral appliques with tiny sparkling rhinestones throughout and slinky spaghetti straps is from Chanel’s spring 2023 couture collection. Her shoes, also by Chanel, boasted a silky smooth black upper with curved toe straps and angular ankle straps.
The platform style was finished with a subtle metallic trim along the rounded sole and a slightly angled heel measuring approximately 4 inches.
Cruz wore the same Chanel heels for the racing drama’s photocall in London on Dec. 3. On that occasion, she styled the on-trend shoes with a creamy white tweed minidress complete with long sleeves, front pockets and braided bow ties.
The Spanish actress complemented her whimsical yet elegant look for the Los Angeles premiere with a selection of shiny hoop earrings, bracelets and rings.
Cruz often wears shoes courtesy of Chanel, as she’s one of the iconic French luxury brand’s long-standing global ambassadors. She attended her first Chanel show in 1999 and would go on to become an official house ambassador in 2018.
Speaking to WWD about the partnership, Cruz shared, “It’s such an iconic brand and Karl is a genius, and I’ve been admiring everything he’s done since I was a little girl.”
That said, the actress has also been known to wear heels from other top brands such as Giuseppe Zanotti, Jimmy Choo, Christian Louboutin and Versace. On days off, you might find her stepping out in chic Chanel sandals or different boot styles.
