A WOMAN has found the “perfect alternative to central heating” in a Russell Hobbs gadget – and it costs less than £30.
Temperatures have well and truly dropped in the UK and many of us will be considering putting the heating on for the festive period.
But with energy bills expected to hit harder this year without last year’s government support, we’re all trying to find cheaper alternatives to central heating.
One woman took to TikTok to share a way to keep you toasty as the temperature drops.

An advantage about these plug-in heaters is that they can be moved around the home so you’re only heating up the room you’re actually in rather than blasting warm air across the whole house.
Oil radiators use an electrical element to heat up thermal oil inside.
Of course, heating up the element requires energy and that affects your bills.
According to Which?, a standard 2,000 watt oil filled radiator uses around 2 kilowatt hours (kWh) of energy for every hour it’s in use.
